I have a new website promoting a couple of different local businesses and I want to improve my google ranking.
I want to submit the site to directories and release a press release and submit them to Press release sites, in addition I am going to have a content writer write a few articles.
my question is:
does it matter if I submit my site to all the directories and Press release ALL AT ONCE or do i spread it over a few week ( for example submitting to 2-3 directories a day) and submitting a press release to 2-3 press release websites a day or every 2 days)?
also for the articles, is it better to submit 10 articles at once to my website blog at blogger.com or is it better to spread them over a certain period?

I agree with the others that you should make article submissions gradual so as to appear natural to search engines. I have no idea how many is ideal though but I heard of a site owner who did 10 article submissions each day for four months and dominated the forex niche.
Also, if you are building backlinks. see to it that your keywords in anchored texts vary. Backlinks with a single keyword all linking to your site looks unnatural too.

Its good if you spread it over time means 2-3 links/articles a day etc. Thim way it will seem like you are spreading your site in natural way. Once you start gaining traffic you may increase the limit to a little bit higher like 5-6 a day.

Well you should spread 2 to 3 a day it would look good for the search engines but its going to take you 3 months

You can submit to as many directories and article directories in one day. The more you do, the faster your link can be displayed. It’s not how many articles you submit in a day, it’s where you submit them to. The same thing with web directories. Why submit your information to a website with a lower page rank or equivalent page rank as your website. You want to increase your page rank as well.
